The NFL is preparing to deploy an injection machine to use to inject players who are injured during preseason games, according to an NFL source.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the process is still being worked out, said the process would be used to inject injured players who have been on the field for several weeks and have not returned to action.
The process, which could be used for any injury, will be similar to that used during the regular season when players who suffer a season-ending injury can return to action by using an injection.
The source said it is not clear how long the procedure would take or how much of the injury would be treated, but the source said the injury is unlikely to be serious.
The NFL did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
